Agreement between Racing de Montevideo and Red&Gold Football
Montevideo/ Munich/ Los Angeles – The Board of Directors of Racing de Montevideo is pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Red&Gold Football, a joint venture of FC Bayern München and Los Angeles Football Club, to become the new majority shareholder of Racing.
Red&Gold Football was founded in March 2023 with the aim of developing international talent for the first teams of FC Bayern München and Los Angeles Football Club and for professional football in general. We are honored to be part of this important strategic step in South America and consider this to be an historic engagement for Uruguayan football.
The cooperation includes a regular exchange of know-how and youth development philosophies between Montevideo, Munich and Los Angeles. This will allow Racing to further develop and improve the solid foundation that has been created on our path of institutional and sporting growth.
Both parties share the vision of making our players grow in a professional and personal way, offering them the possibility of reaching the highest level. Our joint goal is to establish Racing as a top club in Uruguayan football and beyond.
As a club, Racing will maintain its iconic identity, its colors, logo and name and will grow based on its heritage of "La Escuelita", as we have done so far together with Ignacio and Santiago Rossi.
